Yes I'm copying Alli's weekly obsession thing. Shut up. Don't judge me. I'm unoriginal. Alright, I know this doesn't really count as a weekly obsession, since I've been listening to Ok Go since seventh grade when I heard I Want You So Bad I Can't Breathe on Pandora and then watched a bunch of their music videos in my science class, but last week I really got into Ok Go. I found a few of their early songs on Spotify (like Get Over It and Don't Ask Me) in my last math class before winter break. Then, I got my hair cut and the internet decided I looked like lead singer Damian Kulash. So, yeah. I think it was fate that I got into Ok Go. I'm actually listening to End Love right now. That's such a good song. All of their stuff is so good. This article is quickly turning into emotional jello. Hey, speaking of Ok Go's music videos... OK GO'S MUSIC VIDEOS. THEY'RE AMAZING. I've read countless places that they've revolutionized music videos by being crazy creative and posting their videos on YouTube. Let's just say those claims are correct. From Here It Goes Again to The One Moment, all of their videos have been absolutely spectacular. My personal favorite is This Too Shall Pass. And hey, what other band has filmed a video in a zero-g plane???? No one. No other band has done that. But let's not forget the video that started it all... Ok, now on to the band members and why I love them. Damian Kulash - Lead VocalsWhy do I love Damian Kulash? It's simple. His vocals are incredible, he's creative, and he's an awesome music video actor. Andy Ross - GuitarIt's pretty much solid fact that my favorite member of any band is the guitarist, and it happened again. I love ARoss because 1. he's crazy creative 2. he's a computer genius 3. he always looks really bored in music videos 4. his guitar skills are a m a z i n g (hey Other Andy, you're alright too, but Ross has got you beat.) Did I mention Andy developed an app?! It's called Infinite Skater and it's incredibly beautiful and addictive. Check it out for yourself, but here's the loading screen: Andy also made another app called Say The Same Thing. It isn't on the US App Store anymore, but you can watch the promo video for it here: So, yeah. If you don't mind me making a Killers reference... Andy, you're a star. Tim Nordwind - BassI don't really know what to say about Tim. He's an awesome guy. He's definitely the personality of Ok Go. He shaved half of his face for a music video. I think I saw a video of him with a cat once, but I'm not really sure. His bass skills are overall really good and he seems like a super cool person! (Sorry for the crappy bio, Tim. I'm never good at talking about bassists, unless they're Scott Shriner.) Dan Konopka - DrumsThe Danimal!!!! An awesome drummer who I've always referred to in my head as 'the not-as-bald member of Ok Go.' Sometimes I wonder if he even wants to be involved in their music videos. Also, he's the only member of Ok Go who hasn't been verified on Instagram. Get on it, Instagram, Dan's Instagram is worth the verification. Favorite Songs??Get Over It Writing's On The Wall That's all I have to say about Ok Go. I love them and I really hope I can see them live sometime soon!!! In the meantime, go watch their latest video for The One Moment: And, hey, if you want to watch an adorably awkward but incredibly well shot commercial for a Chinese furniture store, check this out: In conclusion, if you want to listen to killer music and watch killer videos, Ok Go is the band for you.
